The Guardian report here (https://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/jun/16/labour-mp-jo-cox-shot-in-west-yorkshire ) has this:
"The Labour MP Jo Cox has died after being shot and stabbed multiple times following a constituency meeting. Armed officers responded to the attack near a library in Birstall, West Yorkshire, on Thursday afternoon. A 52-year-old man was arrested in the area, police confirmed. The suspect was named locally as Tommy Mair.
"Police added that Cox, 41, the MP for Batley and Spen, had suffered serious injuries and was pronounced dead at 1.48pm on Thursday by a doctor with paramedics at the scene.
"Police confirmed that a man in his late 40s to early 50s nearby suffered slight injuries in the incident. They are also investigating reports that the suspect shouted “Britain first”, a possible reference to the far right political party of that name, as he launched the attack. Police are understood to be talking to at least one witness who claimed to have heard the attacker shout the words, and the motivation for the incident will form part of their inquiry."Terry Flynn-Edwards, who runs the Divine hair studio opposite the scene of the attack, said a man from the dry cleaners had tried to stop the assault. She said: “She walked out of the library with her PA and he was waiting for her. He stabbed her first and this guy tried to stop him and then he shot her.”
"But one witness, Hithem Ben Abdallah, 56, who was in the cafe next door to the library shortly after 1pm, said the MP was involved in an altercation between two arguing men.
"He told the Press Association a man in a baseball cap “suddenly pulled a gun from his bag” and after a brief scuffle with another man the MP became involved.
"He added: “He was fighting with her and wrestling with her and then the gun went off twice and then she fell between two cars and I came and saw her bleeding on the floor.”
The Independent here (http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/crime/jo-cox-murder-death-tommy-mair-thomas-anti-terrorism-police-cps-labour-mp-dead-killing-a7088351.html) states,
"The CPS revealed its Specialist Crime and Counter Terrorism Division was “supporting and advising police in their investigation". It has also alleged that he once bought a gun-making manual and Nazi literature from a far-right group in the US.
She said: "He appeared to be quite a troubled man, didn't say very much to anyone while he was there.""
It is reasonable but painful to ask if she was shot first or stabbed first and if the two men arguing were indeed her agent and Mr Mair or others? Why between two cars? No doubt the police will have established the ownership of the cars and the identity of the people concerned.Hot on the heels of Orlando of course, we have the highly strange and somewhat parallel event of the public murder of a (relatively) young and attractive British MP by a clearly deranged man - 'deranged' in the sense that only a person not in their right mind could do such a thing.
Both were in the context of the wider politics.
In the case of America, a presidential election race; in Britain the up-coming referendum on EU membership. The Orlando event played to issues of immigration, gun control and 'Muslim extremism'. In Britain similar issues apply but specifically within the context of an EU Referendum only one week away and slipping 'dangerously' towards exit.
The alleged fifty one year old assailant, has been described as a 'loner' but beyond this his neighbours descriptions bear no resemblance to an extremist killer. Rather too conveniently he has been aligned to the far right, 'Britain First' movement, although no formal links have been proved and the organisation has distanced itself. On the other hand Jo Cox, MP argued to remain in the EC.
Only a week before the election the psychological impact of mass sympathy for the victim and condemnation of the perpetrator, is difficult to calculate but perhaps someone has done so. Could it swing the vote in favour of the 'remain' camp and was this a factor in the act?
As others have pointed out, the accused name of Tommy Mair has a strange assonance with the ex-British Prime Minister, Tony Blair who, if the opinion polls can be relied upon, is unprecedentedly disliked for the illegal Iraq war and its consequences.
It would seem that no 'terrorist attack' is now complete without the assailant helpfully shouting an identifying slogan. As soon as I heard it reported Mair did the same, incidentally contradicted by others, with the words "Britain First", I had severe misgivings.
Much more needs to be learnt of Mr Mair's involvement with psychological and medical agencies before his wholly atypical behaviour can begin to be understood. If he did the act, his alleged action is so extraordinary and out of character, some form of malign mind control or hypnosis, cannot be ruled out. That is if he is not the latest in a long line of wrongly accused. (The case of Jill Dando is just one that springs to mind)
If it was a sophisticated operation planned and implemented by dark forces, it might be expected that Mair would have been 'neutralised' to avoid complications and awkward questions. That has been the publicly stated policy and action in France and Belgium in the recent past with similar intentions by the British Prime Minister. Are the reports reliable or was there a serious slip-up in time and place that prevented it?
The event is undoubtedly tragic but the way it is handled by the media subsequently is becoming increasingly familiar and suspect. We seem to be in an era when certain tragic events are fuelled and dramatised, whilst others are totally ignored. This disparity is itself very informative, as is the tendency to mass demonstration of shock and loss, which to a large extent is orchestrated by government. Again when this happens or when it doesn't is highly significant as to intent and objective of a select few.
Some see sinister forces at play as here (See: http://www.veteranstoday.com/2016/06/16/new-world-order-desperation-the-brexit-fixit-psyop/) where contributors made some salient observations. What think you?

Murdered UK MP Jo Cox, had been a supporter of Palestinian rights & statehood, had visited the West Bank & Gaza, & had supported the BDS Boycott Divestment & Sanctions movement against Israel … And Jo Cox had asked the UK government uncomfortable questions about why they were so indulgent of the ‘Islamic State’ they claim to be fighting
The arrested suspect is a person with a history of mental illness, whom neighbours had known for years & viewed as non-aggressive & harmless … Mentally impaired people can be particular subjects for mind control … On 31 May Charlie Skelton had tweeted: “I’ll not be surprised if there’s a big, noisy security/terror scare just pre-referendum that’s best dealt with by the UK being in the EU.”"

Jo Cox on Syria:
Any death is an emotional affair. In Britain there are about 500 000 of such each and every year. It is understandable and right that people who knew Jo Cox are deeply affected and wish to express their loss. What worries me is when a particular death - what appears in this case to be a targetted and premeditated murder - is given sensationalist media and other attention. It then smacks of a coordinated, orchestrated campaign for political purposes. This not only deflects from the heinous nature of the act but plants the seed of suspicion that this might have been the root cause of the act by undefined elements. Seldom is there a violent event that is given celebrity treatment by all the western media, without suspicions being arroused as to cause and purpose. It is an almost infallible 'fingerprint' of conspiracy to deceive at some level or other. It is worth keeping this in mind at all times as events evolve.
Jo Cox on Syria:
"The fatal attack on a pro-European British lawmaker just a week ahead of the key Brexit referendum vote has shaken politicians and voters across the U.K.
"While this is the first time in nearly a quarter of a century that a U.K. politician has been murdered, the case bears startling similarities to the assassination 13 years ago in Sweden of pro-EU Anna Lindh.
"Days before Sweden would vote on whether to join the euro in 2003, a 46-year-old lead campaigner for Sweden's to adopt the euro was stabbed while shopping in a Stockholm department store. She had been shopping for clothes for a euro zone debate scheduled that evening. The next day, on September 11, Social Democratic foreign minister Lindh died from her injuries.
"Both sides of the Swedish political campaign suspended their activities following the news, with TV ads campaigns cancelled and billboard and print media ads withdrawn.
"On the following Sunday, Swedes rejected proposals to adopt the common currency."
