In bombing Qatar, the US just proved it cannot be trusted about ANYTHING. What could be more despicable and nefarious than luring negotiators to a location merely to assassinate them? It has also approved open season on targeting political leaders everywhere, incl the West.

Lyla Smith As we all know. Israel wiped out the whole Yemen cabinet. It targeted top officials of the Iranian government on top of going after Hamas and Hezbollah leaders of course and the PLO before it. The latest (apparently failed attempt) in Qatar, with American connivance and duplicity, opens the door for a 'free for all' and departure from the previously agreed principle of not assassinating political leadership of a country. It raises the stakes. Trump, Starmer and all the other Western leaders can hardly complain if they are now directly targeted by missiles or bombs or assassins. Further if I was Putin it would put the final nail in trusting anything eminating from them and puts the 'nuclear clock' forward a few more seconds. It is hard not to conclude that the American/Israeli alliance is not the root cause of all this dangerous madness.

Except Osama bin Laden WASN'T behind the 9/11 attacks as no one with even a modicum of intelligence should by now know. Nor should we be unaware of the part played by Qatar (on behalf of the zionist alliance of course) to fund the whole ISIS theatrical performance complete with flotilla of Toyota vehicles and weaponry. This incident makes utter fools of both Trump and the Qatari leadership, not to mention the grimy inanity of the Boeing bribe. It should be a lesson to all other state leaders, that attempts to placate Trump's gargantuan ego, is no guarantee of friendship or security. Certainly the American military and secret service must have known. The Israeli jets could not have escaped its radar and intelligence. Only two possible conclusions: either Trump was told and is lying; or he wasn't told and isn't in control of the United States.

11.9.2025: CHARLIE KIRK KILLING:  Could be just another violent American incident or it could be something more. There's a certain replication in the Trump shooting. Kirk was apparently a fairly vociferous supporter of Trump. Could it be another reminder of how vulnerable he is unless he toes the line? What line and for whom that is the question? I'm sure you have noted the date and the mess over Qatar that back-fired. Netanyahu specifically referenced 9/11 in his Qatar speech, alleging he's copying American policy then going after Osama. Of course the whole 9/11 thing was, and is, an urban myth. ObL was an agent of the US and Iraq had nothing to do with it. It was a joint Mossad/Pentagon operation to facilitate a plan already published, just as Oct 7th was Israel's, to justify the clearance and/or irradication of the Palestinian people. Israel is not interested in 'peace' or a 'two-state' solution. The Hamas peace negotiators were lured to Qatar, specifically to murder them all, just as it has done elsewhere several times. PALESTINE ACTION MASS ARRESTS!

8.9.21025: What germ of MADNESS has infected the mind of the present government? Someone thought up this antidiluvian, anti-constitutional measure. Someone wrote it. Somehow a legalese Prime Minister and Home Secretary, who refuse to condemn genocide and support war crimes, approved it. Somehow two Houses of Parliament and a Sovereign that/who ostensibly believe in the funamental right of peaceful protest and oppose tyranny, passed it without demur. The measure is plainly built on the lie that peaceful protestors are all 'terrorists' and in so doing demean the very concept. The criminal law is bursting with provisions enabling those involved in violence or criminal damage to be brought to account. This insane measure is like arresting all motorists for the few that drive dangerously. Meanwhile apparently, there are no police available to respond to shop-lifters or domestic burglars. This goes beyond an unfortunate oversight of the tax laws but a fundamental error in the process of government, for which it should hang its head in shame. The only proportional response to it: first, the law should be repealed forthwith; and second, Parliament should be suspended and an election called (though I hold my breath over what that would produce). This thuggish assault on the British People demands nothing less. It could be Britain's 'Potekim' moment! Clearly the political machine has lost its corporate mind. Its 'brain', if it can   be located, needs urgently to be 'washed'. (TTV)

Isn't it time we WOKE UP to the clear and present danger?

Not content with oblitorating Gaza and provoking a war in Ukraine killing hundreds of thousands, those in political charge of our fate are racheting up preparations for a European confrontation that could feasibly DESTROY US ALL!  Yet no one in the public sphere is discussing this clear and present danger. 

Who are the war-mongers cloaked in dark suits and carefully worded propaganda. They are actively discussing outright war with Russia even as we speak. One strategic nuclear missile will destroy London, everyone in it, and all the art, architecture and culture of thousands of years. Yet the country is kept in the dark, the people in ignorance of the calamity actually being planned. 

Our governments have proved they do not care for our freedoms and liberties or for the horrendous killing spree abroad. We cannot trust them or their bland assurances. Their actions speak louder than words. The nation needs to wake up to the dangers and signs before it is too late. (It may already be!)

1.  Trump changes 'Pentagon' name to 'Department of War'.

3.  UK must prepare for war scenario, government warns

"The UK must "actively prepare for the possibility of the UK coming under direct threat, potentially in a wartime scenario," the government has warned.

In its national security strategy, it said the nation was "in an era in which we face confrontation with those who are threatening security" and pointed to Russia's war against Ukraine as "the most obvious and pressing example of this".

The document was released at the same time as a summit of Nato - a defence alliance of European North American nations - began in the Netherlands. At the gathering, leaders of the 32 nations are set to commit to increasing their security spending to 5% of national income by 2035, made up of 3.5% on core military spending and 1.5% on broader security expenditure."

Ultimatums Don’t Work on Civilizations

When Vladimir Putin stood in Beijing and told the West to stop treating India and China like colonies, he wasn’t posturing, he was detonating the last illusions of Western exceptionalism. Flanked by history at the 80th anniversary of the end of World War II, he didn’t give so much a speech, but rather a civilizational rebuke. “Events in Ukraine,” he said, “are being used merely as a pretext for resolving economic issues with some countries whose economic ties and advantages do not suit someone.” That “someone,” of course, is the collective West, cornered by its own decline and lashing out at nations it can no longer control.

The colonial virus never died. It simply evolved, from gunboats and red coats to sanctions, tariffs, and moral blackmail. When India buys Russian oil, Washington responds with 50% tariffs. When China refuses to join the West’s theater of sanctions, it is met with semiconductor bans and military encirclement. The West doesn’t negotiate; it tries to dictate and engages in gangsterism. But as Putin reminded the world, this isn’t 1947. “Countries like India, almost 1.5 billion people, and China ,1.3 billion people, boast powerful economies and live by their own domestic political laws.” In other words: the days of telling ancient civilizations how to behave are over.

The arrogance embedded in Western foreign policy is both tone deaf and suicidal. You cannot browbeat India, a country with the memory of British-engineered famines still smoldering in its bones. You cannot threaten China, which withstood centuries of foreign subjugation and emerged stronger. And you cannot isolate Russia, which has turned every round of sanctions into new layers of domestic resilience and global leverage. “When people from the outside say, ‘We are going to make things hard for you and punish you,’” Putin asked, “how are the leaders of these countries… supposed to react to that?” His answer was clear: like sovereign nations who have buried empires before.

Ukraine, of course, is just the smokescreen. The war isn’t about democracy or freedom, it’s about delusions of preserving a fading Western monopoly over Eurasia. The goal was never Ukrainian sovereignty; it was containment. Russia was to be bled, India coerced, China boxed in. But the empire miscalculated. Russia retooled. India doubled down on autonomy. China accelerated de-dollarization and built its own tech stack.

So when Putin sat with Modi in his Aurus limousine and briefed him on talks with Trump, it wasn’t for diplomatic theater. It was a message: the center of global power has shifted. Multipolarity isn’t a theory anymore, it’s a living organism. Moscow doesn’t ask permission. Delhi doesn’t flinch. Beijing doesn’t bow. The West continues to bark about “rules,” but the rest of the world remembers Iraq, Libya, and the IMF’s colonial shackles. And they’re done pretending the empire wears clothes.

What Putin said: calmly, deliberately — is what the Global South has long whispered: enough. Enough of the moral extortion. Enough of the economic coercion. Enough of the sermons from those who perfected the art of plunder. The leaders of India and China aren’t “partners” in a Western hierarchy, they are stewards of civilizations.

This is not just a geopolitical shift, it’s also a spiritual one. A karmic reversal. A final reckoning with the centuries of theft, famine, and forced obedience masked as “progress.” The West threatens collapse if it is not obeyed. But the world has learned to say: then collapse. We will trade without you. Build without you. Thrive without you.

And as the Western world clings to a past it can no longer resurrect, the future is no longer asking for permission, it’s speaking Mandarin, bargaining in rupees, trading in rubles, and securing its energy in gold-backed contracts. The empire wants to provoke all out war and is falling, it is being quietly left behind, as sovereign civilizations walk forward without it, toward a world no longer built on threats, but on dignity.

I was brutalized by Israeli soldiers in the West Bank. It was only a fraction of what Palestinians experience every day.

The violence of apartheid across the West Bank isn't just physical. Israel relies on constant psychological warfare to terrorize rural Palestinian communities and make them live with the perpetual dread of army raids and settler pogroms.

Editor’s note: the following Op-Ed was written by an ISM volunteer who requested anonymity in order to continue engaging in direct action and the documentation of human rights violations without retribution.

In mid-August, I, along with another international activist, was beaten and robbed by armed Israeli soldiers in the rural village of Ibziq. The assault gave us only a faint, yet utterly incommensurate, glimpse of the imminent danger that Palestinians experience every day.

We were stationed in the area as part of a protective presence team affiliated with the International Solidarity Movement (ISM). ISM’s work involves taking direct action to document and deter attacks, demolitions, and settler raids on Palestinian communities across the West Bank.

At around 8 p.m. that night, at least eight Israeli soldiers in dune-buggy-style military vehicles invaded Ibziq. They wore army helmets, balaclavas, body armor, full combat uniforms, and had laser-sighted assault rifles slung across their chests. 

For over an hour, reservists patrolled, trespassed onto school grounds, tampered with waterlines, blocked entry roads, and threatened to raze the village. Such intrusions are frequent. Eventually, they forced their way into a Palestinian family’s home.

I and my ISM partner immediately approached with our hands raised to show we were unarmed. We asserted that the soldiers were illegally encroaching on Palestinian land and that their threats contravened international law. The response was swift and brutal. 

My partner was dragged to the ground, punched, and had sand kicked into their eyes and mouth. When I tried to intervene and film, multiple soldiers chambered live rounds and trained their rifles on me. 

Laser dots traced my head, chest, and stomach before finally settling steadily on my groin. This type of targeting and attempted genital mutilation has become a widespread practice amongst the Israeli military.

I was forced to my knees at gunpoint and told I would be shot if I did not comply. After being shoved to my stomach, two officers wrenched my arm behind my back, stole my phone, and elbowed me in the back of my head. 

When staring down the barrel of a gun, the choice I made as a professor — inspired by the courage of the student encampments to do something beyond writing critically and teaching about decolonization in the relatively safe confines of a complicit UK university — suddenly became startlingly real. 

When leaving, the soldiers shouted at Palestinians that Ibziq would be set ablaze. “They threatened to burn us alive,” one family member recalled. I and the other volunteer were taken by a Red Crescent ambulance and treated in the hospital. 

In principle, protective presence is straightforward. ISM volunteers literally walk alongside Palestinians who are under threat and record human rights violations. We also try — if only briefly — to interrupt the violence of colonial occupation. 

Protective presence is an admittedly limited but tangible and personal way to practice international solidarity without saviorism. Markedly, it does the necessary relational work of letting Palestinians know they are not alone. 

Notably, while international volunteers face real risks and occasionally pay with our lives, Palestinians endure ruthless violence and terror at the hands of the Zionist movement on a day-to-day basis — with far greater cruelty and far higher costs.

 Israeli apartheid, state-sanctioned terror, and settler violence

Recently, in Masafer Yatta, Palestinian activist and educator Awdah Hathaleen was murdered in broad daylight by an internationally sanctioned settler. Awdah’s life was cut short by the Israeli apartheid regime’s organized campaign of eradication. 

Similarly, one year ago, 26-year-old Ayşenur Eygi, a fellow ISM activist who stood with Palestine, was fatally shot in the head by an Israeli sniper after a peaceful demonstration in Beita. To this day, justice has been done for neither. 

Such killings reveal the true face of the Zionist settler colonial movement: it eliminates anyone who stands in the way of annexation. Indeed, the land grabs and blood being spilled today are an extension of the same Nakba that has besieged Palestinians for generations.

While the armed soldiers in Ibziq initially appeared to be a settler militia, it is critical to note that they were an informal part of the Israeli military apparatus — that is, they were armed, equipped, and authorized by the Israeli state to harass and terrorize Palestinians into fleeing, even though they are nominally “civilians.” 

The uniforms, the weapons, the vehicles, the arrogance, the impunity, the racist dehumanization — none of it exists without being sanctioned by Israel’s apartheid regime. 

The blurred line between an official soldier, an army reservist, and a settler militia is intentional. The Israeli government often relies on hostile Zionist paramilitary squads to do the dirty work of ethnic cleansing via belligerent harassment and constant intimidation until formal expulsions can be executed.

Two days after the assault in Ibziq, another Palestinian family was ambushed while asleep in al-Farisiya. At 3 a.m., 10 masked settlers silently stalked down a hill. They pepper-sprayed the eldest son, looped a chain around his neck, and attacked him with a knife. 

As the son gasped for air, the family woke to armed intruders ransacking the home. They chased the lynch mob away, but not before their son’s leg was slashed open. A month before, the same family received an eviction order and had dozens of sheep stolen by settlers. 

Less than a week after, in Ein al-Hilweh, families who lived in the village for over sixty years saw their homes obliterated in the early hours of the morning. Despite a court order delaying demolition until next month, the Israeli military escorted the removal team and bulldozers.

Israeli operators smashed houses along with water tanks and solar panels — vital infrastructure in an arid region where the occupation already makes water and electricity nearly impossible to access. It is a calculated plan to make conditions unlivable.

The violence of apartheid across the West Bank extends beyond physical beatings, home demolitions, and resource theft. It is psychological, emotional, and cumulative, as Palestinian families live with the perpetual dread of arson, abuse, and the wholesale destruction of their villages, livelihood strategies, and histories.

Families go to sleep unsure whether they will wake to settlers storming their homes with chains, knives, and guns. Children grow up with panic in their eyes and fear in their hearts. Their nervous systems are chronically debilitated by anxieties owed to floodlights, firing zones, surveillance drones, and death threats. 

For generations, Palestinians across the West Bank have withstood innumerable atrocities and expulsions. Since the onset of the Gaza genocide, this onslaught has only intensified. 

Every time a village is levelled or a Palestinian is murdered in cold blood, the “international community” looks away as if Palestinian suffering and death are unfortunate side effects of a “conflict” between two equivalent sides — rather than the result of the Zionist movement’s attempted conquest of Palestine.

Further escalation over NATO member Poland!

Alarm bells are ringing in Nato capitals. US President Donald Trump wrote on social media platform Truth Social on Wednesday: "What's with Russia violating Poland's airspace with drones? Here we go!"

It’s hard to tell if Trump’s reaction is for or against what has happened. But Russia’s message is clear, according to the New York Times, “With escalating airstrikes, the Russian leader appears determined to demonstrate that he will dictate the terms for any end to the war.”

The Russian drones over Poland comes at a time of increase attacks on Ukraine. On Sunday, Russia stepped up a campaign of hitting the capital, Kyiv with it’s largest missile and drone barrage of the war.

Drones over Poland is seen as a escalation, as Poland’s Prime minister expressed in his reaction.

"This situation brings us the closest we have been to open conflict since World War Two," he said. This is the first time Russian drones have been downed over Nato territory since Moscow's full-scale invasion of Ukraine in 2022.

He added that the drones poosed a direct threat, were shot down. Russia said it was not planned - but NATO forces scramed along side Poland.
