Scott Ritter is a former Marine intelligence officer who served in the former Soviet Union, implementing arms control agreements, and on the staff of General Norman Schwartzkopf during the Gulf War, where he played a critical role in the hunt for Iraqi SCUD missiles. From 1991 until 1998, Mr. Ritter served as a Chief Inspector for the United Nations in Iraq, leading the search for Iraq’s proscribed weapons of mass destruction. Mr. Ritter was a vocal critic of the American decision to go to war with Iraq. His new book, Disarmament in the Time of Perestroika: Arms Control and the End of the Soviet Union, is his ninth.

It was interesting. He gets very heated and emotional and says the bombing and invasion of Gaza has changed his mindset about Israel, in common I believe, with the population of most of the world. I believe it has now sewn the seeds of its own demise. It will henceforward be regarded as as a murdering pariah state. That America and European politicians should support it shows their true colours. Hence forward all their protestations as to 'western values' and 'moral supremacy', will ring utterly hollow. How will they be able to condemn Russia in Ukraine whilst supporting Israel in Gaza? I agree with most of what he says but diverge with him on the issue that the Israelis were 'surprised'. The soldiers and public on the ground may have been but not the military intelligence. The news that perhaps a majority of the subsequent deaths were caused not by Hamas but by the IDF itself, gives weight to the view that this was indeed an orchestrated Israeli operation, designed solely for its propoganda purpose to cause as many deaths and casualties as possible and as a pretext for declaring war on Hamas and the whole Gazan population. As usual Israel is steeped in deceit and lies to further its genocidal policies, given the green light by the West, to our eternal shame. The voices of tortured children cry out for vengeance on that beleagured and disgusting state.

I can't even listen to her and her lies. Doesn't she even know that most of the Israeli deaths on the 7th were BY the IDF - the Israeli Army? I get so sick and tired of the zionist propaganda put out by the western media, whilst ignoring over 70 years of diabolical Israeli policy and action designed to clear the territory of resident Palestinians, Gaza but the deadliest and most recent iteration of it. This woman puts me in mind of Medusa!
