A feared chemical incident in south London that left residents with nausea and vomiting is believed to be a gas leak, emergency services have said.
Emergency crews were called to Alwold Crescent in Lee amid fears locals may have suffered an allergic reaction.
Several people were taken to hospital and six homes were evacuated in Alwold Crescent, Lee, on Sunday morning while the London Fire Brigade tried to identify the possible cause.

Beachy Head chemical haze mystery deepens as police say gas not from France
The mystery over a noxious chemical haze that drifted ashore along the Sussex coast and put scores in hospital has deepened as police have said it is unlikely to have come from France.
Around 150 people needed hospital treatment for burning eyes, vomiting and sore throats after the mystery gas came ashore near Beachy Head on Sunday afternoon.

A 16-mile segment of the East Sussex coastline was evacuated and locals were told to shut doors and windows after a yellowish 'chlorine cloud' (above) left people with burning eyes. A Sussex Police spokesman said today: 'Neither the gas nor its source have been established, but agencies are continuing to investigate and have not ruled out either on-shore or off-shore locations, although it does appear that it did sweep in from the sea driven by on-shore breezes.
