The Chevaline Murders.
An old case rumbles on.
The 'decade' is up M. Maillaud!

I did not trust the French interpretation of the crime scene or the investigation at the time and I see no reason to change my opinion now. If ever there was a case that supported 'deep state' criminal conspiracy and cover-up, this is it!
8.2.2025: It's interesting the part Rahm Emanuel played in providing the 'Eagles of Death Metal' band at the Bataclan on Friday 13th. Then there's Ariana Grande on her 'Dangerous Woman' tour at the so called 'suicide bombing' Manchester Arena at 10.33 on May 22nd Then the amazing coincidence that the Al Hilli etc killings took place on the 40th anniversary (to the day!) of the 'Munich Massacre' (5th Sept 1972/2012) And we all know the Biblical significance of 40 don't we? These and innumerable other incidental terrorist lexical and numerical 'coincidences' are of course ignored and sneered at by those ultimately responsible for the events themselves.
The al Hilli killings in the French Alps in 2012 took place forty (40) years to the day of the so called 'Munich Massacre' in 1972. That event saw the initiation of a programme of assassination given the code name "Wrath of God" that continued for at least the next twenty years. The 2012 killings took place in a valley called 'Combe d'Ire' which in French means 'to speak or declare' but in its English version means 'anger'. It happened outside Chevaline, meaning 'horse butcher'. The modus was typically Mossad or some other state assassination squad, but not once has the official finger pointed in that direction despite the highly professional nature of the operation and all the international Middle East background. For the following thirteen years and a botched initial investigation, multiple suggestions and leads have been advanced, none coming to anything substantial, whilst incredibly even basic questions that could be answered, remain shielded in secrecy. The latest one a fantasy story suggesting a "fifty year old Swiss man with specialist military training'. Nor has anything of consequence emerged from the huge British police investigation either. I wonder why? https://veaterecosan.blogspot.com/search?q=psychopaths https://veaterecosan.blogspot.com/.../an-old-case-rumbles...
6.2.2025: Now it is the following!!! (From the Telegraph)
"French investigators believe the shooter behind the 2012 Alps murders is an ex-Swiss special forces agent who “lost the plot” after undergoing training in the use of “high-precision”, close-range gun techniques, say reports." https://www.telegraph.co.uk/world-news/2025/02/05/alps-shooter-former-swiss-special-forces-lost-the-plot/Given the “level of stress linked to the nature of the events, the very likely screams of the victims, the resulting increase in heart rate, and the precision of the shots fired on the move, it can only be a very experienced man who may have already had this kind of experience in the past with the same type of weapon”, Le Parisien reported, citing the expert.
He suspected the killer to most likely be a “Swiss serviceman in his fifties, who completely ‘lost the plot’ after having undergone such high-precision shooting training.”

What I find interesting in these periodic newspaper revisits to those terrible events of September 5th 2012, is they seldom throw any more light on them or even highlight the anomalies and outstanding issues that have never been satisfactorily resolved.
This latest one in the 'Mirror' and a virtually identical one in the 'Mail', though ostensibly by different journalist authors (Doesn't that raise a bit of a question?) effectively just recount what happened on the day and Zaid al Hilli's demand for a proper investigation, which of course he has made many times before. There is virtually nothing new here although, bylined as an 'exclusive'.
Both French and British investigations - and they appear to have been both independent yet cooperative - were shrouded in secrecy. Of course incredibly, despite the huge resources allotted to them, neither came up with plausible explanations or named likely culprits, despite numerous false trails. Even if secrecy was considered expedient at the time, why is it still the case? More than anything, isn't it time for clear unaffected transparency and truthful answers to the outstanding questions.
Here are some of the questions I would pose which require them:
1. Who made the initial emergency call? The French account that it was Martin, was contradicted by him. Either the French are lying or Martin is lying. The French must have recorded the call, so it is high time they released it to settle the matter, although the reasons for the misinformation remain.
2. Publish the crime scene photos so we can all see what the first responders saw so we can make judgements as to the reliability of the accounts or otherwise. People were prosecuted for some that saw the light of day. Why? What do they reveal and what is the justification for the secrecy surrounding them?
3. An unimpeachable account of the people and vehicles at the location is required, what they saw and what they did. Information on this is patchy and conflicting. In particular the large BMW or similar that was on site and reportedly left immediately after the shooting. Although both French -and later - British police sources validated it, it has been virtually written out of the script. If it was there in a culdesac with virtually only one, then two, routes of escape, it is quite incredible it was not spotted, recorded or identified. Why?
4. Then there is the motor-cyclist on scene actually reported by state employed forestry workers. Why was the role of two teams of these kept secret until a Panorama programme reported them. They drove down past the layby at the crucial time but their evidence of what they saw has been kept vague. Of course one team interviewed a motorcyclist at the top of the mountain, but we are still unclear what happened after. Did they escourt him back down or not? There is still no rational explanation for the delay in publishing an artist's likeness after well over a year. The French investigators say he was ruled out but was he the same motor cyclist spotted at the lay-by or not, and if not where did that second motor cyclist go?
5. Besides Martin there was apparently another pedal cyclist who reached the site who has never even been revealed. Who was he/she and what did they see or report? And why did Martin not make reference to them?
6. As to Martin riding down the hill and meeting up with hikers coming up many questions still remain unresolved. Were they walking or driving. What actually happened? Why were they initially deleted from the story? Was this the first '112' call or the second or third? How long after that call did the three sets of responders (Sapeurs-pompiers; Samu/ambulance; and police in that order) Why did the Sapeurs get there first? Apparently other individuals were at the scene but have remained anoymous.
7. The chain of command and the reason why Lyon forensics were not called, has never been explained. Even the most basic investigation of the car would have revealed four year old Zaina. Officers on scene must have been ordered not to. Why did it take so long to obtain the information that there were two al Hilli children?
8. Apparently Said had two mobile phones in the car. Leaving aside the classic secret asset vibe, the information on them must have been absolutely crucial. Is it believable that the investigators gained nothing from them as to the reason for the trip and being at that lonely location? In particular as regards the unexplained witnessed meeting whilst Said was at the camp site. Did the camp site have no CCTV? In fact did no one have CCTV?
9. There were rumours a private plane took off from a local airfield. Was there any substance to that? I'm sure there would be records. Were they exhaustively examined to see if there was any substance to the rumour?
10. Then there is the involvement of Silvain Mollier, the French cyclist. In a photograph his bike is not in the location it was reported to be and his body and blood stains do not support the story he was dragged from the front of the car. He was shot the most, both before and after the al Hillis in the car. Zainab was outside. It is hard to see how the official version of events can be made to fit. Is a more plausible explanation either that all three were outside and both Said and Silvain tried to make a run for it in different directions; or alternatively the two men were both inside the car with just Zainab outside when the shooter appeared?
11. The bullet casings and presumably bullets themselves were marked. This with the damage done to the car, the position of the bodies and their injuries, plus other forensic information, should have been sufficient to locate the shooter and his movements. Why the disparity over how many bullets were fired. Could it be the remnant of the ancient Luger was a decoy to throw investigators off the scent? How in the circumstances it could be re-charged at least twice has never been properly explained.
12. If ever a case required a detailed and public enquiry, this is it. Although the French investigation has been criticised, was the Surrey one any better? Why if the French one was so poor did the British one not fill the gaps? The armed response in Britain and the steps that were taken to protect Said indicate a much greater threat than that posed by a local shooter. The family and public deserves to be told.
These are just some of the outstanding questions that are never posed or answered, nor the reason for the secrecy and such a botched response and investigation. Isn't it time we were told?
