Jewish opposition to Israel's genocidal behaviour.

For all the sensationalism surrounding the events of Oct. 7, when Hamas broke through the Gaza fence and seized territory in the Gaza Envelope as part of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, there is still much that we do not know. The official Israeli death toll from the attack is estimated at 1,200 civilians, revised from an initial estimate of 1,400. Among this figure are several hundred civilians, which Israel says were killed by Hamas militants. Other testimony from survivors of Oct. 7 suggests an alternative explanation—that in its fervor to defeat Hamas, Israeli commanders may have willingly targeted and sacrificed Israeli soldiers and civilians in the crossfire. Tim Veater an ENORMOUS amount of Jews worldwide feel this way. When we put our heads above the parapet we risk being shunned by the Jews that don’t feel like that, and that can mean losing friends and family members. We get attacked by nahzees, people who believe we all support the atrocities, and other Jews who believe we are traitors. Yes we’re not losing limbs worldwide; however opponents of the occupation been stabbed on their own doorsteps.
When I was physically attacked by someone yelling “ free Palestine “ I posted about it here asking for views. I was distraught and distressed. There was no response except for 2 “care”responses. I found it disappointing in a group with this name. I took the post down after about 6wks.
The point is, the suffering of Jews who have stood up against Zionism and against Israel is rarely even acknowledged.

Jess Cullen I empathise with you fully and appreciate there are many good people who stand out against the sort of violence we are seeing - to their cost. I get attacked with the usual trope of 'anti-semitism', when I have no ill will to jews or 'jewishness' per se, only against the things that they do, if it offends basic humanity. We all see ourselves beyond the context of our personal lives, into the landscape of nationality, culture and religion, even when we claim intellectual independence from them. It is the remnant of aeons of our tribal past. When we abandon our humanity in favour of the tribe, we find ourselves on a downward slope with no bottom, either of mercy or truth. As you say, those that oppose indescriminate violence and mistreatment of others not in the tribe, can be treated as enemies of both. In WW2 my dad was a Conscientious Objector and suffered some of the consequences. Fortuitously I have never been faced with the same dilemma. One of the reasons America and Europe have strikingly failed to condemn the war crimes of Israel or influence it to stop, has been its own compromised moral position, that Israeli leaders are not slow to point out. From the Second WW to the present day, it has done precisely what Israel is now doing - bombing the hell out of foreign nations, killing millions of innocent persons, for largely fabricated reasons, quite removed from those stated. It is rooted in an American economic and political hegemony, fed by arrogance and fear. To persue its ethereal and contrived aims of its 'war on terror' and the 'pursuit of freedom', it has actually created the enemy it is theoretically opposed to. It is a model that has been adopted by Israel for the past seventy years, the product of which we now see daily in all its awfulness and brutality. I wish you and all those that think like you well, and sincerely hope in the end reason and humanity will prevail against all the odds.

The demographic, political, spiritual and ideological split in the Israeli society shines like never before.
On TV, night after night, you can watch interviews with heroic older Kibbutznik ladies (see photos) who were recently freed by Hamas in a hostages exchange after 50 days in Gaza. These women are the last living members of old labour Zionism. In their teens they joined the Israeli Labour youth movement, and eventually founded Kibbutzim mostly in areas near Israel’s borders at the time.
It is them who made the ‘desert bloom.’ It is their men who worked in the fields, it is their husbands who invaded Gaza in 2 hours and the rest of Sinai in the next 4 days back in June 1967. It is their men who saved Israel from a humiliating defeat in 1973. It is their husbands and sons who liberated the Israeli hostages in Entebbe back in 1977 where Benjamin Netanyahu lost his brother. Yet they have nothing bad to say about their time with Hamas. It wasn’t fun they admit but they understood the circumstances. They understood that their husbands and sons would have done the same thing were they Palestinians. They understand the conflict. They have seen it emerging. They themselves have become an instrument in 17 years of an Israeli military siege on Gaza.
It is Netanyahu and the IDF whom they blame for their ordeal. It is the IDF that failed to protect them, it is Netanyahu that didn’t present a prospect of peace and hope for Gaza and the region.
But we also see the ‘other Israel’ on TV. The real Israel, the one that Israel has become. And it isn’t nice at all.
The IDF that had been dominated by Labour Zionists commanders and fighters until the late 1970s has been subject to a total demographic shift. It is now subject to the hegemony of boys in skullcaps, many of them are ultra Zionist yeshiva graduates and West Bank settlers. They have literally took the place of Labour Zionism in politics, military, ideological and spiritual’s leadership.
These Israelis are driven by expansionist enthusiasm: they stick their Menorahs in Gazan destroyed homes, they make ruined Palestinian schools into ‘temporary synagogues’ , they video themselves performing vandalism of Palestinian destroyed shops. They strip Palestinian men, blindfold them march them in the streets and spread photos on social media. But they didn’t evacuate many hostages.. in fact not even one since the ground operation started. Day after day they bring back to Israel bodies of Israeli hostages. They claim that they were ‘murdered in Gaza’ but in reality, like so many Gazans they actually lost their lives to Israel reckless indiscriminate airforce’s bombardment and IDF’s artillery.
The military performance of this new Israeli elite is nothing short of a catastrophe, the more Israel is digging into the Gaza strip, the greater is the spectacle of the dysfunctional military operation:
More than two months into Israel attack, not one objective has been achieved. Israel power of deterrence has been eradicated forever. Israeli Merkava tanks are defeated defeated by Gaza home made RPG rockets. More than 20% of the Israeli casualties and fatalities are due to friendly fire. The army is exhausted and terrified, it shoots everything that moves, friendly or foe. 2 days ago the IDF managed to kill 3 Israeli hostages who found their way to the Israeli lines. They were half naked, they waved white flag but the army that calls itself ‘the most moral army in the world’ killed 2 of them. It then sent a battalion commander with an elite unit to find the third one who managed to escape, but instead of rescuing the poor boy and bringing him to safety, the IDF killed him as well.
I hear that half a million Israelis left the country following the 7 October event.. I guess that they have decided to leave the country to the other Israelis, namely the settlers. They, for a good reason, do not buy into the ‘togetherness festival’. Many of them gathered that Israel as they remember it belongs to nostalgia.
They have no interest in sharing their future with the likes of Ben Gvir, Smortrich or Netanyahu. They also know that the Israeli so called Centre Left alternative is almost as bad or even worse.

The extremely rapid rise in trading activity on Tel Aviv and US stock exchanges before Oct 7 - from the typical 2,000 shares shorted to 227,000 on Oct 2nd - is more smoking-gun evidence of prior knowledge about the Oct 7th attacks. The events on Oct 7th were allowed to happen to get international support to invade Gaza and expel it's inhabitants. It's all part of the Israeli expansionist agenda i.e. the Greater Israel Project which includes all of Palestine plus parts of Syria, Iraq, Egypt and Saudi Arabia. Netanyahu allowed his own people to be killed, to stay in power so he can avoid jail for corruption etc. The festival was moved 2 weeks prior to taking place from a secured, well guarded place to a very unsecured area. Israeli witnesses in the kibbutz said the IDF was withdrawn from the kibbutz before the Hamas attack. The idea Hamas could breach the extremely very-well guarded and monitored perimeter fence without detection is utterly absurd. As the Grayzone pointed out, all the destroyed houses, charred bodies etc. was done by Israeli missiles. Hamas did not have the weaponry with them to inflict such damage. https://www.peoplesworld.org/.../someone-knew-stock.../
