Continuing Israeli outrages in Palestine.

When will it stop?

Who will stop it?

In yet another of its collective rampages of revenge, Israel's military regime deployed 100 jeeps in the Palestinian city of Ramallah in the wee hours of the morning, detonated a home in a cramped street, attacking anyone who tried to get them to retreat.
Israel's army was so proud of this particular home demolition (as if it hadn't already destroyed +400 Palestinian structures this year), that it fluffed itself with a victory video, complete with men with big drills inserting explosives into little holes, and money shots of the destruction.
Why was this war crime more flaunt-worthy than all 400 others this year? In November 23rd last year, Israel's genocidal policies came home to roost, when Islam Froukh planted bombs in an Israeli bus stop. He was swiftly caught and by December he was charged. The trial is ongoing.
What made Israel restrain itself for a whole half year from bombing Islam Froukh's parents' home? The fact that the family appealed to the Israeli court. Not to not-destroy the house, mind you, that was inevitable; but to have the army "only" seal it with cement.
But eventually, the Israeli court decided that blowing up the house of the parents of a man-not-yet-tried is the judicial thing to do. Which is exactly why one might scratch their heads when watching Israelis protest in the hundreds of thousands to maintain these courts and calling it "democracy."
Not only is destroying the homes of families of indigenous Palestinian fighters a form of collective punishment which is prohibited by international law, but Israel's escalating wanton destruction of Palestinian homes has earned the term 'domicide', according to UN advisors.
And on top of the collective punishment of the family, the whole city of Ramallah (yours truly included), got a whiff and a bang of Israel's wrath, as it paraded a hundred jeeps through the city in the early hours of the morning.
But as is always the case with the stories I choose to tell in these posts, under a decades-old militarized apartheid regime, Ramallah is just one out of several cities and towns that the army attacked tonight.
Artists, musicians, athletes; destruction and terror is the norm under Israel's apartheid regime. Refused to be used to whitewash these crimes. Help end apartheid. Boycott Israel!
