Aged 22. '22 days after he was bragging online about the UK 'having more guns you think'. The mass shooting – the first in Britain involving an 'active gunman' for 11 years since taxi driver Derrick Bird killed 12 people in Cumbria - No significance of course. Apparently a self and woman hating young man who seems to fit a popular meme of right wing extremist? Worked for Babcock Marine, the Ministry of Defence contractor. No message in the name of course.

The offender shot dead his mother Maxine Davison, also known as Maxine Chapman, aged 50.
Sophie Martyn, aged three her father Lee Martyn, aged 40, Stephen Washington, aged 59, and Kate Shepherd, aged 66, were also killed. All the deceased lived locally in the Keyham area of Plymouth.
Mother and son Michelle and Ben Parsonage survived the attack but were left with life-changing injuries.
Misogyny and the incel subculture have been cited as motivators in mass shootings elsewhere in the world, commonly in the US.
Labour MP Bell Ribeiro-Addy said, as reported by The Morning Star: “These murders are a stark reminder of the serious threat posed to women in particular by incel culture. We can no longer view incels as harmless online hate groups.
“ ... The government needs to be legislating against these hateful groups and taking steps to protect vulnerable men from being exposed to this toxicity.”
A spokesperson from anti-extremism group Hope Not Hate said, according to the newspaper, that the government, social media firms, and schools must take seriously the threat of groups that “celebrate hatred of women”.

"And one friend of the family wrote on Facebook last night that his relatives, including his mother Maxine, had begged for mental health support for Davison, adding: 'The NHS basically said they are short staffed and that was it. The family even asked the police to come out to see him as he was talking and acting strange - they didn't do a welfare check. And now six people are dead'."
Robert Pinkerton, 54 told Plymouth Live that he was on Henderson Place when he heard a loud bank. He turned a corner and bumped into a man and 'swerved' when he saw the gun.

A major incident has been declared and people are warned to stay inside their homes after Five people have been shot.
The man behind the attacks has been named as Jack Davidson after a domestic dispute got out of hand and he shot his neighbour and then went off around the neighbourhood shooting at random people.
It is understood that up to “five people” have died in a serious firearms incident.
It is also claimed that the shooter was “shot by armed police officers” after the bloody rampage.
The dad even begged the mental health team to assess him but they basically said they couldn’t be bothered and said they were to short of staff to come out. So not have only the mental services on this country let these poor families down
One of these is understood to be a young child and two females have been killed.
A Third is a local man who has been rushed to hospital
A major incident is currently unfolding in Plymouth with HART, police and air ambulances present after they were scrambled to Biddick Drive after a female and young child was shot. A second female was then found shot on Henderson Place in the City at around 6.30pm on Thursday evening after a man went on the rampage with a firearm.
Four air ambulances landed in the North Prospect area of Plymouth this evening.
Two Devon and Cornwall Air Ambulances have landed and a lot of unmarked police/emergency personnel are heading this way as the incident has been declared a major incident.
A spokesman for Southwest Ambulance Service: “We were called at 18:12 for an ongoing incident in Plymouth. We responded to the incident with a large number of resources, including Hazardous Area Response Teams (HART), multiple ambulances, air ambulances, many doctors and senior paramedics.
Luke Pollard, MP for Plymouth, said: “Really troubling news is coming from Keeham in Plymouth.
“Please, can everyone stay safe and stay inside and follow the advice of the police.”
According to reports, air ambulances from across the country, including Southampton and Dorset, are at the scene.
A nearby school gym was told to close and people inside were ordered to leave.
Belts, which are constantly expanding, were placed around a block of flats to prevent pedestrians from walking along it.
The road where the accident occurred is now completely closed.
Johnny Mercer, Member of Parliament for Plymouth Moor View said: “I am aware of a serious and tragic accident unfolding in Plymouth.
“Please comply with all police instructions and do not spread rumours or speculation on social media.”

The Plymouth shooting suspect was a gun-obsessed, misogynist who ranted about being rejected by women on his deranged Youtube channel.
Jake Davison has been named locally as the man who killed five people with a shotgun before taking his own life yesterday.
A critical incident was declared yesterday evening after police received reports of the worst mass shooting in Britain since 2010.
Three females and two males were shot in the Keyham area of the city, police have said, including a five-year-old girl.
The identity of the gunman is yet to be formally confirmed but his online footprint provides a disturbing insight into his mindframe in the lead up to the attack.
His Youtube channel subscriptions included Incel TV, a platform dedicated to the ‘involuntary celibate’ movement.
The hateful and sexist movement, which has been linked to previous killings and the far-right, is made up of men who resent women because they feel they aren’t good looking enough to attract partners.
He also subscribed to several gun-related channels, including one providing ‘training’ videos for firearms owners.

In one video where he speaks directly into the camera, he says ‘most women are very simple minded and ain’t all that bright’.
Ranting about women not having sex with ‘average’ men, he says: ‘Why do you think sexual assaults and all these things keep rising and women talk about it? Because the reality is, is that women don’t need men no more.’
In another video, he references ‘Chads’, a slang term for sexually active men used among incels.
He says: ‘Let’s say I get with a woman my age, she’s had a million relationships. She’s likely been destroyed and broken and torn apart by f****g Chad…she’s probably incapable of loving anyone like she did when she was 16, 17, 15, when she got with that first f****g Chad.’
Davison was seemingly obsessed with losing his youth and bemoaned feeling ‘numb’ as an adult, compared to being a ‘fresh’ teen, as well as a preoccupation with missing out on sexual experiences.
The suspected gunman lamented his loss of will power and spoke about being depressed, as well as referencing autism.
In one clip, he speaks to the camera and says: ‘There’s something special about being young, I don’t know what it is, you just have that drive, you have that fresh bounce to you you know…maybe it’s just depression, maybe I’m just going through some health issues, I don’t know.
‘You just have a bounce to you when you’re young, you have that “woomph”, and you have that drive and that optimism for life.’
In another rant, he said: ‘When you’ve been defeated a million times, you wake up and you’re like “what the f**’k”?
‘When you…work so f*****g hard…and you see m***********s that work nowhere near as hard as you, and then you wake up and you stare at the wall and you’re thinking “nothing’s changed”.
‘I’m still in the same position. Same period in life…fat virgin…ugly…whatever you want to call it? What’s changed? Nothing.’
Weeks before his fatal rampage, he said he was struggling to push through his own problems. He told his small Youtube following: ‘I just can’t do that anymore. Call me a b***h, call me weak, call me whatever. I just can’t do it anymore.’
He also discusses seeking ‘cocaine-fuelled sex’ to make up for ‘missed teenage experiences’.
Davison repeatedly moaned about getting older, saying: ‘What is there to look forward to? Getting f***ing uglier every passing year. There’s nothing really to look forward to as an adult, other than getting rich.’
Despite his apparent interest in incel culture, defence Secretary Ben Wallace has ruled out terror-related motives, telling Sky News: ‘Overall, my thoughts are with the tragic loss of life and with the people who have lost loved ones today.
‘The police have resolved the situation is my understanding and we can rule out terrorism.’
