Continuing Israeli outrages in Palestine.

When will it stop?

Who will stop it?

:
In yet another of its collective rampages of revenge, Israel's military regime deployed 100 jeeps in the Palestinian city of Ramallah in the wee hours of the morning, detonated a home in a cramped street, attacking anyone who tried to get them to retreat.
Israel's army was so proud of this particular home demolition (as if it hadn't already destroyed +400 Palestinian structures this year), that it fluffed itself with a victory video, complete with men with big drills inserting explosives into little holes, and money shots of the destruction.
Why was this war crime more flaunt-worthy than all 400 others this year? In November 23rd last year, Israel's genocidal policies came home to roost, when Islam Froukh planted bombs in an Israeli bus stop. He was swiftly caught and by December he was charged. The trial is ongoing.
What made Israel restrain itself for a whole half year from bombing Islam Froukh's parents' home? The fact that the family appealed to the Israeli court. Not to not-destroy the house, mind you, that was inevitable; but to have the army "only" seal it with cement.
But eventually, the Israeli court decided that blowing up the house of the parents of a man-not-yet-tried is the judicial thing to do. Which is exactly why one might scratch their heads when watching Israelis protest in the hundreds of thousands to maintain these courts and calling it "democracy."
Not only is destroying the homes of families of indigenous Palestinian fighters a form of collective punishment which is prohibited by international law, but Israel's escalating wanton destruction of Palestinian homes has earned the term 'domicide', according to UN advisors.
And on top of the collective punishment of the family, the whole city of Ramallah (yours truly included), got a whiff and a bang of Israel's wrath, as it paraded a hundred jeeps through the city in the early hours of the morning.
But as is always the case with the stories I choose to tell in these posts, under a decades-old militarized apartheid regime, Ramallah is just one out of several cities and towns that the army attacked tonight.
Artists, musicians, athletes; destruction and terror is the norm under Israel's apartheid regime. Refused to be used to whitewash these crimes. Help end apartheid. Boycott Israel!

I met a fair maid, on my way to the fair.
(Inspired by image below)

I met a fair maid, on my way to the fair.
Her skin was as milk and flaxen her hair.
She looked at me sweetly, my heart skipped a beat;
I stopped in my tracks, and my tongue failed to speak.
Such was her beauty, it fain took my breath.
The watch in my breast pocket, portentiously stopped
and time for that moment forgot about clocks.
Timeless and silent we stood and we gazed,
for what seemed like eternity there in the lane.
Eyes unto eyes and souls unto souls,
we knew from that moment that love conquers all. (TTV)

Strange:

Was this a plan in the pipe-line?

"Following an update on the Elizabeth Tower conservation project to the House of Commons and House of Lords Commissions, as part of their commitment to preserve the Elizabeth Tower and the Great Clock for future generations, the contract for the delivery of the Project has been awarded by the authorities of both Houses to Sir Robert McAlpine Ltd.

Following 16 months of detailed analysis of the work required to refurbish the Elizabeth Tower and Great Clock, a greater understanding of the practicalities of delivering such a complex project, and the outcome of a standard procurement and tendering exercise, the estimated costs, on a like for like basis, have risen from the original feasibility study estimate of £29m to £45m.

Reasons for the increased costs include:"  https://www.parliament.uk/about/living-heritage/building/palace/big-ben/news/elizabeth-tower-conservation-works-begin/

"The Elizabeth Tower, popularly known by the name of its bell, Big Ben, voted in 2008 as London's most popular landmark and a world-famous cultural symbol of the nation has been refurbished over the last few years whilst it was in quite some need of a repair. However, the operation, which has recently ended to the delight of many, has proved a lot more expensive than initially believed. The steep jump from an initial projection of £29,000,000 in 2017, when the refurbishment began, to the £80,000,000 it has ended up being is shocking and has caused to some to ponder why so much money is spent on what they see as 'vanity projects' when there are so many other issues in the country in need of investment."  https://www.thisislocallondon.co.uk/news/20036644.80-million-price-refurbish-big-ben-worth/

"Completed in 1854, the 96m-high, neo-gothic tower is the work of architect Charles Barry who added a clock tower to his final designs for the Palace of Westminster reconstruction after it burnt down in 1834. Historically, the building has needed attention approximately every 30 years, with the last major refurbishment taking place in 1983–85, but this latest refurbishment is significant as it is the precursor to the wider restoration and renewal of the Palace of Westminster, which is set to start after work completes on the Elizabeth Tower in 2021."

Twenty-five 'conspiracy theories' that turned out to be true!

Another 97 acres given over to a 'solar farm' in Gwinear, Cornwall. My observation: "When will people wake up to the craziness of this so-called 'Green' agenda, that is anything but. Turning fields into plastic is not 'green', it is quite the reverse. It is both an aesthetic and environmental abomination, driven by a political and economic agenda that raises the cost of energy and ruins the countryside. As we have seen in Holland, it is an integral part of an attack on agriculture and domestic food production as part of a global takeover of everything. As we all know, family run farms have already been decimated and nature damaged. Towns have lost their character and commerce to multi national conglomerates and Internet. People should ask themselves where this is leading and do we really want to go there?"
