France 24 Article: Five years on, death of family in the Alps remains a mystery

Five years ago on Tuesday, Saad and Iqbal al-Hilli were found shot to death on a remote road near Annecy along with Iqbal’s mother, Suhaila al-Allaf. The body of Sylvain Mollier, a French cyclist, was found lying metres away.
Saad al-Hilli, 50, his wife Iqbal, 47, and her 74-year-old mother all died at the scene of the September 5, 2012 attack. The al-Hilli daughters -- Zainab, 7, and Zeena, 4 -- survived the attack, although Zainab was shot in the shoulder and severely beaten, suffering skull fractures. Zeena hid for hours under her dead mother’s skirt in the family car but escaped injury.
Investigators have said they thought Mollier, who had no apparent link to the British-Iraqi family, arrived on the scene as the attack was under way and was simply in the wrong place at the wrong time.
Zaid al-Hilli, the victim’s brother, told the BBC this week that he was frustrated at the French authorities’ failure to find out what happened to his brother and his family.
"There hasn't been any progress in the case,” he said. “The initial investigation (by French investigators) has been a total failure."
He added: "They made claims against the family which they couldn't prove."
Zaid himself was briefly detained by Surrey police in 2013 as part of the French investigation but subsequently released for lack of evidence. He later accused French police of taking part in a cover-up.
The lead prosecutor in the French probe, Veronique Dizot, told the BBC that investigators were still trying to identify the former owners of the guns used in the attack, in which more than 20 bullets were fired. In an interview with The Times this week, she said that the killings might have been random, and that the family may have simply been the victims of an "unfortunate encounter".
"After five years, we are a bit discouraged and worried," she told the paper. "Time is working against us."
Family feud? Industrial espionage?
The brutal murder of a family out for a drive in the Alps near the village of Chevaline gripped France for months. The initial investigation focused on the theory that the al-Hilli family may have been targeted because of a family feud over an inheritance, a line of inquiry based on recorded phone conversations. Legal documents showed that the two brothers jointly owned the al-Hilli family home in Surrey that they inherited from their father.
Eric Maillaud, the Annency prosecutor who led the joint French and British police investigation into the murders, has said that the two brothers were involved in a bitter dispute over property in the UK, Iraq and possibly elsewhere, part of a multi-million inheritance left by their father when he died in 2011.
The British Telegraph reported that a legal document from 2012 appeared to show that Saad had attempted to delay or even block his father’s will from being executed.

Swiss prosecutors confirmed in 2012 that al-Hilli visited a bank in Geneva shortly before he was killed. The Tribune de Genève newspaper reported that prosecutors believed the trip may have been “linked to the murders”. Swiss broadcaster RTS reported that the bank account, which had belonged to al-Hilli’s father, was subsequently seized by Swiss authorities.
Maillaud has also suggested that Saad al-Hilli's career as an engineer working with an international British firm specialising in satellites could have provided a motive for the murders.
"If you are talking about foreign states and industrial espionage, you could also be talking about secret service involvement," Maillaud said in 2013.
Despite a search of al-Hilli’s Surrey home by UK and French police, no evidence has been found to indicate a possible motive for the killings.
Zaid al-Hilli has denied the reports of a feud with his brother. A cousin of the al-Hilli brothers told the Telegraph that he was also unaware of any dispute between Saad, a mechanical engineer, and Zaid, who works for the Burhill Group golf and leisure company in Surrey.
Ahmed al-Saffar, Iqbal’s uncle, said investigators had unnecessarily focused their investigation on the possible involvement of family members and dismissed other valid lines of inquiry.
"I think the French prosecutor also focused on the family without presenting any evidence. It's kind of wild speculation," he told BBC radio in 2012.
He added that theories about a family feud had increased the family's suffering.
“What is unfortunate is what comes out in the media from the French prosecutor, focusing on the family and dismissing all other lines of investigation. This has made, actually, a great damage to the family," he said.
"Just focusing on the family, it is not fair and it is not the right thing."
Hope running out
Kevin Hurley, the police commissioner in Surrey, described the case in 2013 as the “most mysterious he had come across in 20 years”, the British Independent reported.
More than 100 police officers in both France and Britain have been involved in the joint investigation, and hundreds of witnesses have been questioned.
Zaid said the last time he was in contact with French authorities was "very briefly" back in 2015. He told the BBC that he was now putting his faith in British authorities to solve the case.
"The only way forward is for a British judge to look into the investigation and give us some conclusions," he said.
"I don't think the French authorities were honest and we don't trust them and we don't have faith in them.
"Five years on, I don't think we'll ever find out what happened."
The al-Hilli daughters have been given new identities since the murders and have recovered admirably, their uncle said.
"The girls are fine and doing well, and I'm in touch with them," Zaid told the BBC.

Three years since the Hampstead children's appalling allegations. Both sets of children silenced by the State you notice. Twenty years since Diana's death. Fifth September 1793 the start of French Republic's 'Reign of Terror'. Forty-five years since the Munich Games terrorist attack that initiated an assassination campaign by Israel that lasted the rest of the century. But to put it into some sort of perspective, 28 terror attacks are listed for the the first six days of September 2017 - mainly in the Middle East and pretty much grist to the mill.
We might pose the question, who is actually being terrorised and by whom?

TOOTH-ACHE!

So here goes: Eating a salad I detected something very hard. A tooth had detached from a denture. My NH/Private dentist was around the corner so I popped in.
The little woman with glasses behind the counter looked mildly phased. She enquired what I wanted as if she had caught me, uninvited in her back yard. I told her my tooth had come away and she looked at me vacantly.
"What is your name?" she demanded without a hint of a smile, and then tapped away at her computer as if she was registering a dog.
With great seriousness and a huge sigh, she told me that their usual technician was away on holiday until next Monday, so they had to send it away to Truro and it would return the next day.
"Do you have a spare denture?" she enquired. "You need to bring it in at ten."
"Oh right" I replied.
Now as she tapped she started to make sounds of doubt and frustration. (My powers of description fail at this point. The reader will just have to imagine what they would be)
I asked, "Is there a problem?"
"Oh yes well, it seems you haven't been in for over three years (Oh how time flies I thought) and after that you are removed from our patient list, so we can't help you."
"Really?" I replied. "How was I supposed to know you had such a rule? Don't you think the Practice should inform the the patient before taking such a step?"
"Oh no" she replied, "it's for the patient to come in and find out."
"What would be the reason for doing so unless the patient knew such a rule existed?" I replied.
"You might have moved away!" she said.
"I've only been at my present address for forty years" I retorted.
"Well that is the rule the Practice Manager has applied" she added."If you were a private patient different rules apply."
"I AM a private patient. I paid for these dentures privately here!"
This appeared to fluster her greatly and she stared to back track.
"Oh well I will check to see if there is a 'slot' for tomorrow then" as she returned to her computer.
"Excuse me", I said, "but what do you mean - 'A slot'? We have already established the protocol of a man leaving for Truro at 10.30 am tomorrow and for me to be here by 10.00 a.m. Why for a private patient would you need to look for a 'slot' as if one might not actually exist and you are doing me a big favour in looking for it?"
At this point I ran out of patience. "I'll tell you what," I said, "I will wait for your local man to return from holiday next Monday, and go straight to him direct."
She looked quizzically at me as if I had said something amazingly profound and a great relief.
"Well if you can wait that would probably be best and much cheaper for you."
"What is his name and where can I find him?" I enquired, recalling that she had said he was their regular technician they used for denture repairs.
"Andrew" she said, "He's at the top of Causeway Head."
"Is that his Christian name or Surname and do you know the number of the property?"
"I don't know. Just ask for Andrew."
As I left I made my dissatisfaction very clear. Hopefully I won't need a dentist in the foreseeable future.
I rode to Causeway Head and went in the Fish and Chip shop and discovered within minutes not only the details the surgery was unable to supply, but also in this technician's absence, an alternative close by, which I found.
Again, despite it being ten to five, and the technician gone home for the day, the secretary very politely asked me to come back the next morning when the tooth would be re-fixed.
This my friend is the bureaucratic state of National Health dentistry in Britain today. As this inadequate employee was pleased to state, "We operate two systems here, National Heath on the ground floor and Private upstairs."
I came out of there feeling as if I had temporarily entered some sort of gulag, where people presenting themselves were made to feel like insignificant cogs in an impersonal machine, looking for any excuse to deny access to anyone expecting other than private treatment.
Only the rudeness and incompetence came free and I hope to God I never have to go back.

When a government, such as that, does not protect its population, but actively encourages acts of extreme violence, it is no longer worthy of the term 'civilized', nor the right to be 'sovereign'. Why is there not an international outcry against this continuing outrage which has caused yet another refugee crisis that the world is asked to pick up? Could it be because the violence is directed primarily against Muslims and this runs against the prevailing anti-Muslim narrative being pushed by the Zionist coalition?

Our only power is to spread these distressing scenes in order that it becomes known as the media is more interested in nuclear weapons bravado and babies born to royalty than exposing these grave humanitarian crimes that continue with hardly a word of condemnation from the west. Utterly despicable. Even if u can't watch such brutal scenes SHARE it for the sake of all those that have to suffer it at the hand of the MILITARY.

Charles and Camilla to Split?

It has been claimed in foreign press and Internet sites, that Charles and Camilla have drifted apart, effectively living separate lives and are now considering divorce. A factor in this is said to be his guilt over the fate of his first wife Diana and the poor opinion of him by the public that the anniversary of her death has caused. It is also claimed that Camilla has been critical of him.
If true, it is set to cause further turmoil for the House of Windsor and may even conceivably affect the succession of the Monarchy? There have recently been a whole series of indications that change is on the way. Although the institution itself is still popular, further controversy surrounding the presumptive heir, may give oxygen to those in favour of rejecting it altogether. In this context, the role of William, Kate and their children take on a special significance.
The Duke of Edinburgh has now officially retired from formal duties. H.M. The Queen has announced her intention to effectively do the same when she reaches 95, passing the baton to Charles. The profile of William and Kate has been intentionally raised including a number of official tours, which might have been expected to fall to Charles and Camilla.

Public popularity, is, it would seem, a factor, although this may now have been complicated by personal animosity and friction. The disastrous official tour of the Far East Charles and Diana did together before their separation was announced in 2005, is still too painful a memory to risk repeating.
If true, it would seem the British public is largely ignorant of the situation. It is not easy to see how it will react, if or when, it is announced. It is reported that Charles is passing through another period of self-doubt and low mood.
Whether fate has been cruel or kind to him and to what extent he has been the victim of events or the cause of them, are questions common to most. As the story unfolds, as surely it must, "judge not, that ye be not judged" is probably the most appropriate axiom to adopt.
A totally different account is given in the Daily Express article below, so everything in the Royal marital garden may be lovely, and all the rumour-mongering pure fantasy and poppy-cock. Clearly we shall just have to wait and see.
