A voice of reason. Real v. Fake threats
My thoughts at the moment.:. Hoping this post is ok to share on this site as it is sharing nostalgia about the memories of my family and may help us in the current situation.
Well watching the news at the moment many people are disappointed and angry about sports events and planned holidays being cancelled due to the world wide Coronavirus pandemic. Yes it’s not going well is it? and people are scared watching other countries deal with it by shutting down completely and worried that’s about to happen to us financially.
We are so used to our comfortable lifestyle that we have no idea how it will affect us as nothing like this has happened to us before.
I keep thinking of my grandparents and aunts and Uncles stories of the Second World War and Britain’s fight against Hitler and makes me realise that what we need to do is the same thing that they did.
We are fighting a fight, but our enemy is an INVISIBLE enemy. We need to all work together and take some responsibility now.
I have posted some photos of WW2 ......Have we had our homes bombed to smithereens? Have we had to send our babies away on their own to live with total strangers to the safer countryside on trains with a paper label tied to their coats? Have we had to make our way to bombsites to get to work? The women took over vital jobs when the men of the U.K. went to war. Coventry suffered hours of bombing night after night like lots of the major cities and people must have been terrified but they all did what they had to do, I’m sure they would have loved to hear that the only thing they had to do was WASH THEIR HANDS. Supply lines broke down and rationing was put into place, people had ration books and had to live on a lot less but I do know that the main thing was they helped each other and kept each other’s spirits up. ReplyDeleteMarian I have become very sceptical of these high-profile events and their causes. To varying degrees, dependant on circumstances, they always involve elements of fabrication and propaganda I'm afraid. People like to think they are rational beings. In fact as this latest incident proves, they are quite the opposite, controlled by irrational beliefs and fears. Government advice, which appears to be internationally coordinated seems to pander to it, with the objective of increasing inchoate fears and actions rather than dampening them. Why the run on toilet rolls of all things? Why ban meetings of more than 500? Why ban shaking hands or washing them for two rounds of 'Happy Birthday'? Why curfew 70+ citizens for four months? These things are ridiculous but everyone appears to go along with them and even Prince Charles is seen refusing to shake hands. Really! Then there are the suspicious undercurrents: Wuhan rolled out 5G at the end of 2019 despite its acknowledged dangers; the confirmatory testing is far from clear-cut; the statistics of cases and fatalities is confusing; a Rockefeller report from 2014 forecast it all in great detail. As always it is hard to distinguish between fact and fiction, but people do need to calm down and cast a very suspicious eye and ear over everything they are fed.
