"MI" 5 and 6 of course stands for 'Military Intelligence'. '77 Brigade' is an extension to those establishments, but importantly seems to be free of any democratic oversight. That might be the idea.

@Rubin Schmidt A further question is whether and to what extent, elements of the intelligence services, may have turned 'rogue' or subject to anti-democratic tendencies, not battling against terrorist forces but actually creating them? And to what extent they may have been infiltrated and controlled by principally those of the USA and Israel? There is substantial circumstantial and factual evidence that, against a background of deceit in operations against Libya and Syria, not to mention Ukraine and Russia, terrorist events in Europe and America have been fabricated along similar lines and using common modus operandi, to pursue propagandist purposes, of which the coronavirus 'pandemic', also having suspicious features, is the latest development. Created and patented in America, developed in China with American taxpayer's money and released in some undefined way, immediately prior to the almost totally media ignored Military Olympics in Wuhan. You don't have to be a 'conspiracy theorist' to see the extraordinary coincidences here.

@Rubin Schmidt 'Democratic oversight' of any of the secret intelligence services, by their very nature, is a moot point. However in theory they are answerable to The Intelligence and Security Committee of Parliament (ISC) established under the Intelligence Services Act 1994 and the Justice and Security Act 2013. The question is whether '77 Brigade' is outside its scope.
